Hey, Connecticut DUers: What do you say to a meet-up?

We had one last January in East Hartford. I'd say we're overdue for another!

but, it fell through.

East Hartford is fine with me, though.

I'm a caregiver and have some last minute can't-go-outs, but I'd like to say hi.

I like East Hartford. Their public library is amazing.

I would encourage all of you to come to the Caucus of Connecticut Democrats (CCD) meetings of its legislative and electoral committees on January 15th at the Cheshire Public Library. It will start at 10 AM and we will be talking about how we can promote a progressive agenda in legislative action and in encouraging people to run for state office in 2006.

I'll try to make it, but may be schedule to be in NY that day.

I have a 7 and a 10 year old -- not much room, but a willingness to host. Interested? No need to find babysitters -- bring the kiddies.
Let me know and we can figure it out from there.

I started a thread in the Lounge about a February 5th meet-up at Dodi's house. Several people, including one from Massachusetts, have expressed interest. So who knows, this get-together may just happern yet! :bounce:

IS it going to be morning, afternoon or night?

Personally, I'd prefer an afternoon meet-up as I host a radio show on Saturday nights; but if the evening would work well for the majority of attendees, I might be able to arrange for a fill-in.

not sure if just me will go, or i'll bring the whole gang - wife & baby.

I am sorry I have not gotten details to anyone about this event -- Here is some general information and I will post detailed info by tomorrow. I am not an organized person and I certainly do not have an organized mind!!!

We live in the south end of Hartford -- very easy to get to from I91. The house is a two family and sort of small - so everyone shower. There is canine family member, just so you know and we are - gasp -- smokers -- but that is restricted to the back porch and I will use lots of fa breeze prior to anyone's arrival. My non-smoking sister will give approval on home scent.

I will be happy to provide some food and drink, but need to look into details on that -- I am thinking appetizer type foods.

I still have to develop a time format -- I was thinking maybe 4:00? Let me know what you think.

Please PM if you plan on attending, once you are delivered final details and I will give you directions, etc.

Oh! And when you say "We're all smokers," I take that does *not* include the dog and your two children? ;)

I am sorry I haven't been good at responding -- I am doing the 7 year olds b-day party today and the last week has been jam packed with work and doctor's appointments for the various mothers. I will respond to PMs tomorrow and post the details (a thread of its own) tomorrow). I just need to get thru today!

p.s. I think the dog smokes when we are not here -- we think she has her friends over for poker. The kids do not and will not smoke!
