Could Joe Biden choose to run again for Senator?
Now that Joe Biden's son Beau has chosen not to run for Senate in Delaware, the Republicans are now favored to take that Senate seat. If Joe Biden decides that, after thinking it over, he would really rather be in the Senate, at the same time saving that Senate seat for the Democrats, who do you think would be best to replace him as Vice President?

Biden could likely remain VP until his re-election as Senator from Delaware.

Outsiders seem to think this is an impossible idea but maybe they just can't think outside the box.

2. Vice President John Calhoun resigned to run (and win) a Senate seat.

3. Not with Mike Castle running against him
We love Biden here but I think that would not sit well.

Plus there was some sort of silent pact between Carper, Biden Sr. and Castle to never run or campaign against each other. I mean you never saw Biden or Carper campaign for the unknown Dem running against Castle and you never saw Castle campaign for the unknown Republicans that would run against Carper or Castle.

What really sucks is we're pretty much going to give Carper a free pass in the primaries since he would be a shoo-in to win in the general election and I'd really love to have a more liberal candidate in the primaries to run against DLC VP Carper.

At least Castle isn't a horrible republican, he is a bit moderate. And he'll serve one term and be done. The guy is already 77 years old. I just think he wants to retire as a US Senator - they have a better retirement package than a US Representative.

4. Crappy reason
He's doing it for himself if that's so, not to serve the people.

5. I know what you are saying about Castle, but

...where it counts - identify one major bill where his vote has been any less Republican than Jim DeMint.
