If you are a student at FSU, FAMU, or TCC studying to be a teacher, PLEASE READ!

House Bill 7189, the companion bill to Senate Bill 6, will be heard in the House Education Policy Council this comingMonday, April 5 at 12:00 P.M.

This bill impacts YOU! It will forever tie your pay to standardized test scores of your future students whether you teach art, music, chorus, kindergarten, first, second grades, PE, and EVERY other subject.

I encourage you to come out to the capitol building to protest this bill. You MUST contact the governor's office and tell them if you are against this bad bill.

Notice that on page 59 it says you will lose your certification if your students don't show learning gains 4 out of every 5 years. That is draconian! What if you teach ESE students? Limited English Proficiency students? At risk students?
