Schneider-Harris...a showdown we can WIN this time around

As you may know Sarasota County is and has been a Republican stronghold for awhile and is represented by Congresswoman and former Sec. of State Katherine Harris. Jan Schneider a former attorney and environmental advocate ran against Harris in 2002, when the Dist. 13 seat was vacated by retiring GOP congressman Dan Miller, and lost. However, Schneider did gather 45 percent of the vote....in a District that had only 30 percent registered Democrats...now Katherine Harris's approval ratings have fallen even farther and there is nowhere to go but up for Dems in Sarasota...I honestly believe Schneider can win this thing...she's leading all of her Dem primary opponents handily in the polls(she has more that triple the percentage of votes than her closest competitor does)...this will set up another classic Harris/Schneider showdown...a showdown we can win this time around! Sarasota and District 13 has hope and I encourage you to keep your eye on the District 13 race this year...or possibly contribute to Schneider's campaign if and when she wins the primary if you are able to do so...we need to mobilize and kick Katherine Harris out of public office for good! She ruined the election of 2000, and hasnt done didley squat for the district ever since she's been in office! We need her gone! NOW!!

But I definitely think Schneider is a strong candidate. If I lived in that district, I'd vote for her in the primary.
