Question for Georgia Early Voters. . .

Was the ballot for early voters complete?

A poster says in this forum that someone else (a co-worker's husband, I think) said the ballot didn't include Senate candidates. Surely this can't be true! Or can it?

Please let us all know.

I got my absentee ballot weeks ago and it was complete, so the early voting centers must be as well.

Also, a friend of mine voted yesterday and would have noticed that. He would have raised HELL!

I received an absentee ballot from Chatham County which was actually a photocopied form with only Presidential, Senate & House options. Three or four days later I received an absentee ballot on heavier stock which was complete with state and local races and ballot questions.

Of course I filled out the second one. Wonder if any other absentee voters in Chatham or elsewhere encountered this?

there were only four Democrats to vote for...one for President, one for U.S. Senate, one for P.S.C., and one for state Senate. All, except one of the candidates for county office, were unopposed Repukes!

Only an independent was running for Coroner. I couldn't even vote for Congress or state Representative. :cry:

I think I had, perhaps, 6 Republicans to vote for. The rest were Dems., unopposed, straight down the line.

after all, their is no law against the selling; or trading of ballots, only laws banning the buying :that is purchasing: of votes.

Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling to vote for all those Dems. Even if a couple of them are DINOs ... my Congressperson, for example, who whored himself in Iraq for the President. Still, he's better than the alternative. At least he votes with my party 65% of the time. :puke:

I received from a friend, who had received an email from an aquaintance. with this report about his/her ballot problems with early voting in Alpharetta, GA:

"... I had spent some of the inside line time to read the sample ballot.  The ballot had national, state, county and city amendments and candidates to vote for.  I was prepared when I was at the machine.  My ballot had NOTHING for Alpharetta as shown on the sample ballot.  Certainly my form and ID as well as previous voting records show I reside in Alpharetta.  Also, there were NO state senators listed for me to vote for.  I was so tired, my feet hurt so bad, I was anxious to get back to work to actually put in some time there.  I did not mention the INCOMPLETE ballot to anyone there.

Later, I sent an email to the Georgia Secretary of State email for elections, and another email to 11 Alive describing my experience.  I told them that my experience made me wonder if others are getting incomplete ballots as well.  I asked if early voting meant I could not vote for all referendums and candidates and if my vote would actually count for who and what I voted for.

It was not a pleasant experience.  I wish I had waited for Election Day at my own polling place.  I hope my ballot was good for what I could and did vote for."

Note: he/she reported that it took approx. 4 hours for the whole process, which explains why he/she was too tired to complain.

 

I may just wait and vote Tuesday since I vote in a small rural precinct and the last time I had to stand in line more then ten minutes was when Reagan ran against Jimmy Carter (and we got to the polls not long before 7 p.m.).

Friends who went downtown and voted early stood in line for three hours. :wow:

the Bartow county advance voting ballot. We vote on touchscreen machines.

Seriously, I doubt such an error would go unnoticed by just about any voter.

My parents are in GA and they didn't have a problem with the ballots. That was in Henry and Coweta countys.
