Small town "newspaper" runs another "editorial."
This guy considers himself a "newspaper editor," in the town of Villa Rica, Georgia.

If anyone needs examples of being a partisan republican with brain-rot, just read the below.

(My comments in parentheses)

NOVEMBER 4, 2004
A word of advice

BY STAN HARDEGREE

I feel fairly safe in doing what I am about to do in that I do not believe the Democratic Party realizes how much trouble it is in. I come to this belief after listening to and reading comments from Democrats after their thrashing on Nov. 2. This was their third thrashing in 10 years, beginning with the Republican congressional ascendancy in 1994. Now, the Republican Party has a popular incumbent beginning his second term as president and firm control over both houses of Congress.

(Third thrashing? The 1994 "Republican Revolution" was led by a serial pervert and liar who could only smear the other side and ran away after nearly being tossed out by his own party, TWICE!)

(snip)

1. Rinse the Clintons, both of them, out of the fabric of your party. Bill Clinton was twice a plurality president whose bumbling incompetence and sleazy morals gave the Republicans control of Congress in 1994, control that Republicans hold to this day. Clinton was impeached for lying to a federal grand jury and he is barred from the practice of law. Hillary Clinton is the most divisive politician in the United States, yet the foolish Begalas and Carvilles of the world are talking about running her in 2008.

(Yeah, it's SOOOOO terrible Bill and Hillary have clobbered the best the GOP has thrown at them, not once, twice, or three times, but four times! Two presidential elections, one senate race and one partisan farce laughingly called an "impeachment" that even the majority of GOP senators voted down after seeing how asinine it was.)

(snip)

President Bush did not go into Iraq based on a lie, and many American are offended when some party hack says he did.

(WMD? Lie.)
(Saddam tie to Al-Queda? Lie.)
("People shredder" used by Saddam? Lie.)
(Iraqis will be throwing rose petals and having orgasms of joy with US troops in Iraq? Lie.)

(snip)

6. Put some distance between your party and the wacko fringe at places like Democratic Underground and Bartcop.

("Wacko fringe" like Freerepublic.com, NewsMax, WorldNetDaily and the Sludge Report. Oh, and the wacko fringe "editorials" at the Villa Rica Voice most of the time.)

2. Translation:
Dumb it down and tell the people what they want to hear, like the Republicans.

Then get in office and spend the next four years screwing said people on every single issue that affects their lives.

While doing this, be sure to keep bringing up marginal issues like "morality". Do this repeatedly so as to distract from anything of importance.

:eyes:

If anyone can't figure out why there's such a rural vs. urban divide in this country, just read the rest of the article posted above.

Idiots.

4. Not just that...
Read this "editorial" by one of Hardegree's cronies:

http://villarica.com/gbase/Expedite/Content?oid=oid%3A619

And this one by Hardegree that shows the GOP's typical attitude, "It ain't my fault I couldn't follow the rules!"

5. Clinton is NOT barred from practicing law, yet another lie from this boob
He can still practice law. He RESIGNED FROM THE BAR OF THE US SUPREME COURT, nothing more, nothing less.

6. roll up the pant legs . . . it's too late to save the shoes . . .
he totally lost me when he described Bush as "a man who served honorably in the National Guard" . . . not to mention his willingness to cast aside gays and lesbians in order to gain favor with the Christianoids . . . what he's describing is total capitulation to the neocon agenda, something in which I (and I'm sure the rest of us) have zero interest . . . file under "Bullshit" . . .

9. Elsewhere
But your term evidently has survived you, and spread. I haven't used Fidonet in 6 or 7 years now. If he was there then, I never noticed him.

12. hmmm.....
well now here's a paer to start propaganidizing, ever so slowly and lightly with the "liberal isn't a dirty word" campaign.

Maybe a letter to the editor about "the moneylenders in the temple" "persecuting Christians" "Christ worked tirelessly for the poor, the ill, the disenfranchised" etc.

etc, etc. it's time to paint republicans as Romans. letters to the Editor are good way to start.
