2. awesome Mistress Quickly - thanks!
to be honest, i'm embarrassed and surprised that it's Cobb. You'd think witht he money floating around here people would be a bit more educated. but i guess they send their kids to Private school.

i'm single and a renter, but i'll do my best to be a thorn in their side.

3. lol
at least you aren't exactly paying taxes directly into their pockets, just through a mediator (landlord)

Just nuts, and yes, they probably do send their kids to private school.

School is for science, home and church are for religion.

looks like there's some openings for the school board come 2006. i wonder if there's a wat to go back and see how many of these people ran unopposed either in 2004 or 2002.

And then look at the requirements to be a candidate.

I wish i could talk to the head of the Board of the non-profit i work for. he's fresh out of Cobb County government.

8. Which school board members voted to appeal?
Does anyone know which specific members of the school board voted to appeal the judge's ruling? I sure would like to know because if one of them is the one in my area, I'll know who not to vote for next time

10. Found it!
http://mhking.mu.nu/archives/063754.php

Kathie Johnstone (Post 6) and Laura Searcy (Post 4) are apparently the two members who voted against the appeal. Johnstone is the only board member who was not on the board when the book labels were adopted...
