ex NY democrat looking for freinds in Macon
my wife (44) me (50) and daughter (11)..looking for sane liberal thinking friends in Macon..help...been here 3 years and still cant find any normal people

I am an attorney in Macon. There are plenty of lefties here. Most of us live downtown, however, and hide our true colors except when in the company of other, known sane persons.

If you live out in the forest (as opposed to in the city) the ratio of sane to insane drops dramatically.

It caters to an older, more sophisticated crowd than most bars. Of course, I have young children, so I don't really frequent bars.

Up your way, I find trivia at El Azteca on Tom Hill Sr. to be fun, but when I was frequenting that place during law school, I brought my own team.

River North is definitely in the forest.
