Obama looking at Rep. Sanford Bishop for Sec of Agriculture
I just heard it about 15 minutes ago on NPR. Any thoughts on this? Personally I don't like the idea because if Bishop gets the job perdue will get to appoint his replacement. And if I've learned anything from the run off it's that we don't need another special election because the turn out favors repubs and the 2010 redistricting session is coming up.

1. I think his heart is in the right place.
And his district has a vast amount of agriculture. I think he would be a great choice. As the district is currently aligned, it's highly unlikely that Purdue's replacement will survive in 2010.

The United States is a LIBERAL Country.

2. I am in his district. He has been a great Rep. for us
and seems to be an all around good guy. I think he would be a good Sec. of Ag., but I shudder at the thought of a Perdue appointment. Bishop was just re-elected, he's one of the few good dems that Ga has anymore.
