Carter for State Senate
If you live in District 42, comprising much of Dekalb County, please be on the lookout for the scheduling of the upcoming special election (likely in the next month to 50 days).

Jason Carter is a Democratic candidate for the vacant position:

If you live in the District, please remember to vote and consider Mr. Carter on election day.

Yes, that is a familiar name in state politics too (he's one of the good guys). :-)

1. I just talked to him last night. He says it will most likely be in mid March.
He needs people to make phone calls and to go door to door for him. Please go to his site and see what you can do. He really is someone we want on our side in the state senate.

5. Carter Wins State Senate Race
http://www.ajc.com/news/dekalb/carter-wins-state-senate-524820.html

Very small turnout -- The July 20 primary will generate more interest.

I'm glad Jason won, and hope he also wins in July so he can actually serve in the state senate.

6. Big morale booster..
especially for Democrats like me who voted in the 9th Congressional district on May 11th for Mike Freeman.

Only two Republican clones..Graves and Hawkins, made it to the June 8 runoff! :banghead: But I still plan to vote in the state primary on July 20th.

Unlike Freeman, Jason Carter has already qualified for the July 20 primary. I think Jason will make a great candidate in the future for Governor or U.S. Senate, and this is what all Democrats need to do to lay a foundation that future generations can count on! :yourock:

This will prevent what happens in my district when I vote in November..and there are only Republicans running for state and local office but no Democrats.
