John Morogiello adapts Alfred Jarry's surreal UBU ROI as a political farce/satire. Three guesses who King Ubu has become. Like the original UBU, BUSHWA is scatological, violent, amoral and vulgar. What's not to love?

Lawbreaking, corruption and abuse . . . and that's just what he does to the English language!

The playwright minces no words about the target of his update of Alfred Jarry's absurdist, anarchic 1896 play "Ubu Roi," about a crude, amoral lowlife who becomes a tyrannical ruler. "Bushwa" is "incredibly silly and as offensive as the administration it mocks," he says. "We place the blame entirely on the top. We have no Cheney, or Rumsfeld.
