are we on or no? i want to send this out through meetup if this is on. there are quite a few new people signed up. also, do they still put this stuff on the front page? or is that a waste of valuable ad space?

3. Wish I could come, Mo.

But it will be Friday of my first week back at work after damn near 3 weeks. Took Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of Christmas week off to prepare. My 93-year-old mother had a heart attack on Thursday 12/22. Sadly, she passed away Wednesday 12/28. It was a sudden but brief illness, and she died surrounded by her family.

I worked Tuesday of last week and have been off this week with the holiday and bereavement leave. Next week will be horrendous...and I will come home that night wiped out.

Another time....

i wondered where you were.
i hope you are finding your way. i know it is very disorienting. it's good that her family was able to share the end, and that it was not too drawn out. take care of yourself, now.

5. Thanks, mo....

She was totally with it until the end, then just sort of faded away. Had hospice care the last few hours. But the last week has been draining. so much to do. I actually slept 10 hours last night, which I never do. Guess I needed it.
