She is facing a primary against a DCCC-backed, establishment candidate. She almost beat 14-year incumbent Joe Knollenberg in '06, losing 47-51% despite being outspent 7:1. Tired of candidates promising to stand up for the American people and then buckling to pressure from leadership? It's mind blowing that the greatest nation on earth simply cannot mobilize to face the greatest danger to humanity. The day after the election, a new progressive Congress could vote and send to the Democratic President's desk a Manhattan project-style effort to replace old polluting technology with advanced renewable and energy-efficient technologies across industries and sectors.
