But, it's pretty clear, I think, that Obama will take the nomination, and I'm behind him all the way to November. He's sure not my first choice, but he's still a solid candidate.

16. I was not happy with the win in the 14th being laid at the feet of

Obama. I said so on the board last night. Did Obama help Foster? Of course, but so did Durbin, the endorsement of many newspapers, Laesch by running solid last time against Hastert etc. Also I saw an anti Bush, anti Hastert vote. Not to mention Foster was an excellent candidate. Since Obama was not on the ballot I reject the "coattails" theory. Now, if Obama gets the nomination in Nov I can see a coattail situation but I think Foster won mostly on his own with his positions yesterday.

george bush't anti-tails, i would agree. but howard has been an inspiration, whether or not he was an active participant, for dems out there everywhere to turn it blue.
i think that barack is both feeding and benefiting from this greening of the grassroots. just plain ready for change. it's everywhere.

21. I've been an Obama supporter for a while now.

I worked for hm in his Senate Primary and I love him still. He did a lot here in the Illinois Senate at a time when it was controlled by the GOP. He has an amazing knack of making progressive ideas sound like common sense to the Republicans, and that is exactly what I think we need right now.

I could have supported Edwards very happily, and I loved Kucinich (in spite of the fact that I thought he was probably not electable.)

Obama is the "real deal" and I said that several years ago.
