Next Monday I get to play in State Sen Frank Watson's golf outing (R, rep leader)
It is for work, one of our best clients invited our firm and I was included in our foursome at St. Charles Country Club... I will have to keep a buttoned lip, or at least be... shit... i'll have to keep a buttoned lip... but i'll have fun, costs me nothing... i'll try to be a mole...

dunno why anyone here cares, but i will see what the buzz is, should be interesting

1. my advise-
if it were me, i would want to avoid drinking any alcohol. it is amazing what you see and hear when you are the only sober person.

2. it's not that I care, actually -
it's just that I want to share my heart felt condolences and sympathy -
I live in his district (5 miles from his home town) - so I will be looking forward to your analysis of the day!
have a good time in spite of him - and please share your insights of his perfect small town yuppie ex-pharmacist republican demeanor - okay?
are you allowed to have a lower score than he does?
thanks!

3. I Played With Some Legislators On Monday
We were at The Rail in Springfield. I had brunch with two guys in the Senate who are on the banking committe; played golf with the Senator from Decatur (he's a big biodiesel promoter, and i have professional interest in that industry); and had dinner with two guys, one from Blago's office and the other the Deputy Comptroller.

It was a long day, but i met some serious movers and shakers!.

5. Since I Was With Democrats. . .
. . .except for the guy from Decatur (sorry, i don't have the business cards here, so i don't remember the names), i didn't push any buttons. While Blago might have some dirt under his finernails, he's still cleaner than Edgar, Ryan, Ryan, Thompson, Phillips, Walker, and a whole crowd of DuPage slimeballs.

So, i didn't really push those points. I want these guys supporting the credit union movement, not getting mad at me. That would have defeated the purpose of attending a statewide ICUL outing! Know what i mean?

6. yeah, i know. just teasing. and you are right about blaggo
why they chose him to pick on, i don't know. and probably don't want to know. but i think it usually is a sign that someone is not playing the old games.
