-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will be there to share the story of my 4.5yo son, Kyle. Kyle is a surviving twin, born just short of 24wks gestation. Part of his current diagnosis includes Ataxic Cerebral Palsy, chronic lung disease, and a feeding disorder. I hope that others could take the time to come out and either speak, or show up in support of this important issue.

Thank you.

2. No time right now, but...
Do a google on HB311 IL and it will pop up. There's also a youtube from Rep.Flowers with detail.

My purpose for attending is not sole support of the bill (although it would be great), but to allow reps to hear about my son, and our troubles with health care. Why it took 2 years on various wait lists to get him in to a neurologist for his official CP dx (and find out that he's been having seizures that we never knew about), why we've had to shift care, causing severe lapses in therapeutic care due to long wait lists, and the extreme out of pocket expenses we pay each year, despite having what others might consider 'quality' health insurance. Our hardest hit problems (outside of out of pocket expenses) always occur when my husband's employer changes their health care plan, or when they are bought out. Each time means new drs, new therapists, and more wait lists. For a child with critical health issues and need of multiple therapies/week - it's just unacceptable that we are forced to go without care for him, especially when we do have insurance. And we can't forget the excessive costs, billing frustrations, etc, etc.

4. Why are you on this site? Clearly you're not a democrat.

Edited out my response. A granite eating troll isn't worth explaining the importance of this or any health care reform measure.
