Scott Harper Runs Against Judy Biggert
again.

Harper is entering the race to challenge Congresswoman Judy Biggert in Illinois’ 13th Congressional District which covers parts of DuPage, Cook, and Will Counties. As part of this announcement, Scott Harper has launched a web video that appears on his new campaign website at http://www.ScottHarperForCongress.com.

"I am running for Congress because I have a vision for a better tomorrow, and the values to lead us there,” said Scott Harper as he announced his candidacy. “The people of the 13th District showed last November that they share this vision with me when they elected Barack Obama, and it is time that they have a representative in Congress who is also looking to the future."

This is Scott Harper's second campaign in the 13th Congressional District. In 2008 he held Congresswoman Biggert to her lowest ever margin of victory. During that campaign Scott received a broad base of support from people through out the community, including local leaders, small business owners, hardworking families, seniors, and young people. These same people are who encouraged Scott to throw his hat into the race a second time, and have already announced their support for his campaign.

3. Glad to see it
Rep. Biggert doesn't represent my interests. In fact, she doesn't want to hear them.

4. I met him at the Thom Hartman book signing in Darien
He seemed like a very friendly guy. Just checked out the website and like the "silicon valley" idea. I wish I wasn't so hungry and tired when I met him, it would have been interesting to pick his brain for a bit.

8. Biggert doesn't represent MY interests AT ALL...that I know.
Edited on Tue Sep-01-09 01:02 AM by Mind_your_head
(I can't afford to live in Hinsdale, IL...and *my* lifestyle doesn't relate to a Hinsdalian's lifestyle/connections AT ALL!)

Where does Scott Harper live?

What values/ideas does Scott Harper represent?

Why should I vote for "an evil that I don't know" versus "an evil that I do know ~ more of the same" in Judy.

I have no reason to vote for Scott Harper. Tell me, in an "elevator moment", why should I vote for him?

10. I think he lives in Naperville.
I know that he got his start in manufacturing. He is a small businessman. He is an adjunct professor at North Central College, and has taught ethics classes there. He knows my son, who is a North Central graduate, and is on the plan commission in Naperville.

Scott called me when I was county chairman in Ogle County. He wanted a donation, but he also just wanted to talk. I found him personable and articulate. I was impressed with him. I told him that if he runs again, I will help him out.

9. Hello
Hello,
I am Victor Mata a young, progressive, and a university
student interested in politics. I am particularly interested
in grassroots organization. I think I may have a way to get
young people to register and vote for the progressive cause. I
am spreading the word already in my area with young people. I
believe I can get Congresswoman Judy Biggert out of office and
get a Scott in.
Please contact me ASAP. I don't know who to contact in my
area. VRMFIELDER@GMAIL.COM

We can do this. We can't let Republicans take over the
country. I am seriously worried for our country. I believe we
can go far if we just work and work I am willing to do.

Thank you
