Poll question: When will U of I's basketball team's winning streak end?
Edited on Fri Jan-14-05 06:20 PM by Tweed
The Illini are 17-0 so far with 14 games left this season. Their toughest tests will be No. 23 Iowa on Not A Damn Dime Day (1/20), No. 12 Michigan State on 2/1, and again No. 23 Iowa on 2/19. Wisconsin and Minnesota aren't ranked, but they both have very good records. So when will U of I lose? Will they lose at all? Is this the year for them?

3. I don't honestly believe they'll go undefeated
But I voted for it anyway, only because Illinois perhaps the most ignored #1 team in NCAA Basketball history. They get absolutely no respect for playing outstanding team ball on a team with only a little real NBA talent. I'm so sick of hearing about fucking UNC and Duke and Auburn and whatever the fuck the ACC-team-of-the-week is.

Illinois would run any of their punk asses over in a heartbeat?
Apparently, nobody remembers when they throttled Wake Forest who was - btw - the pretty much undisputed #1 team at the time.

Bruce Weber's motion offense is fucking perfection, man

4. here here.. you tell it
I so completely agree with you. Illinois has been so impressive in every game I've watched. Rough first have against Purdue, but they sure turned it around. The Wake Forest game seems to be completely forgotten by the ACC loving announcers. Just the other night someone (I forget who) said North Carolina should be number one. NC has a great team, but why should they be first? ACC.
