Update on hubby's surgery -- THANKS FOR THE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!!!
Hi all,
Just wanted to post an update on my hubby's surgery and recovery.

First of all, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. He had so much good energy behind him, I knew he was going to be fine.

The surgery was 1.5 hrs and the hernias were 4 in each side. He breezed through surgery and was really funny going into and out of anesthesia, but then when he tried to laugh, he had to bite down on the blanket because it hurt his stomach.

At home he got sick to his stomach from the effects of the anesthesia and pain meds and couldn't sleep all night (translation: wifey got no sleep either). Then at 6am I insisted that I get his pain meds filled so that we both could get some sleep. Although he's really sore, he's better and is surrounded by two loving cats and a wife who dotes on him (he hates that last part).

So thanks again for your wonderful thoughts, wishes, and prayers. I printed out your responses and gave it to him before he was given the drugs. Your comments really meant a lot to him and brought a tear to his eye.

Thanks for letting us be a part of such a loving family.

Paula (and Snuggle-muffin!!)
