For Chicagoans
Just wanted to say I made my first visit to your fair city last week. The warmth of the folks I met made up for the freezing temps. I can honestly say I felt very at home there. Especially kind and helpful are the people at the Chicago Historical Society (I went there to do some research. Just look at my avatar if you'd like to know on whom ;-). My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer, but if things work out I'll be back at the end of April.

2. I would agree with you
There seems to be something for everyone there, no matter what you're into. Have you been to the Jacqueline Kennedy exhibit at the Field Museum? I wanted to go but my funds and time were limited. Maybe next time.

5. Thanks to the great Daniel Burnham we have parks all along the lakefront
which is unusual as most cities industrialized theirs.
We, also, have 18 miles of running and bike paths that run right next to the lake in many areas.
