4. Lucky Bugger.
I used to live in Chicago and Giordano's is my all-time favorite, right along with Edwardo's.

Damn you, you just made me hungry for some good old Chicago Stuffed Pizza.

8. Something absolutely disgusting happened to my local Giordano's...
It turned into something called "Chef Stefano's Pizza Inn," and we didn't know till after we ordered.

They answered the phone by reading back our phone number, like a lot of delivery places do. They never said their name. I placed the order and anticipated the arrival of our thin-crust sausage and mushroom.

It was packed in a plain white box and had been hacked into just a few big pieces instead of the tidy grid I was used to. Oh well, they were probably busy. The first bite seemed okay but not the voluptuous experience I had expected. The second bite revealed they had used canned mushrooms. Ick, ptui!

I looked at the menu stapled to the box. It took several minutes before I noticed the new owner's name down at the bottom. Rank betrayal! Bait and switch! Not nice!

The former outlet is on Lawrence. We will be switching our patronage to Giordano's Sheridan Road location. We will confirm their identity before ordering.

Hope your deep dish is everything you are dreaming of...i.e., a Giordano's pizza!

11. I always preferred Aurelio's
over Giordano's, but I miss Gino's East most of all.

Of course, we do have the legendary Papa Del's down here...

12. Giordano's is so average

Lou's is "TEH best." Get the butter crust with sausage (it's not little pieces, its a full LAYER!) and your other favorites. Double Yummy for the Tummy!

And they also FedEx.

17. I doubt that location would do a delivery to Oak Lawn and
even if I picked it up, it would stone cold by the time I got home. Ogden and Cermak is a good 45 minute drive to my home.
