Question on new voter bill
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 09:16 AM by shesemsmom
I was wondering how this voter ID Bill in Indiana will affect how I will do absentees on 200+ older folks who do not have drivers licenses and who count on me to see that they get to vote. I wrote my State rep...repuk... but have not heard back basically because he's a chicken shit. Are we about to disenfranchise anyone over 65 and anyone with disabilities. Just wondering........:dilemma: :kick: :argh:

3. Signature is how it should be done
Signature on absentee ballot request should match voter registration signature

5. Yes and No
Most people forget that a signature is required to vote.

They think that they just go and vote and there are absolutely no safeguards from voter fraud.

With Absentee Voting there are two steps in verification.
Signature
Address - Ballot goes only to last address on file

and possibly if there is an attempted voter fraud the legitimate person voting by absentee ballot not receiving a ballot would call Election Board as to why not received.
