So in GDP there is a thread about the "Nafta Highway"

Caught my eye. It has NOTHING to do with I69. No where CLOSE to I69. Er, isn't that the big selling point for I69? That it will bring all sorts of business through Indiana - by being THE direct link between Canada and Mexico?

So - is ole Mitch going to finally get his highway (as a tollroad) by hijacking the Indiana Tollroad... only to have it be a "second rate" transportation route (ala No real new traffic/business, etc.) Funny how this other route is NEVER mentioned in the I69 debate. Sorta makes the whole I69 thing look like a big fat... BOONDOGGLE.

If I'm not mistaken, I-69 will be built barring some fantastic lawsuit materializing out of thin air to stop it. It is not even a boondoggle, it is a giveaway to a minority of business interests that go between Evansville and Indianapolis.

I can agree that we do need a limited-access route between the two, but 41/I-70 already exists and is easily convertible, since it already bypasses Vincennes and will bypass Terre Haute when 641 is completed. Sullivan is the only other major slowdown on the entire road. They do not need a new highway.
