getting through to Indiana UI is impossible!
How do you do it? We live in Illinois but the company my husband worked for last was based in Indiana so he has to file with Indiana. Problem is, he filed online and it directs him to call in, so he tries to call it the phone line doesn't even allow you to wait, it just disconnects. So he he emails and is told he would have a reply in 7 days, okayyyyyyyy . . . the reply said to file online again, so he did and again, it said he has to call in instead . . . okay . . . so he emails back back again will not get an answer for seven days. The last unemployment check he had was June 10th,(based off of when he last worked in Wisconsin where he worked temporarily) we are once again trying to figure out how to pay the bills and keep going on no income! Meanwhile, he has $7000.00 sitting in an extended unemployment claim that he can file but he has to file with Indiana and run through it first. This is SO frustrating. I realize that they don't care but good grief, do they have to make it so dang near impossible to just sign up for unemployment?????

1. This is the result of Mitch's privatization efforts.
The unemployment system in Indiana is a complete joke.

2. Get a hold of the AFL-CIO Central Labor Council for the area...
Contact your Senators and Congress person about the problem too.

It probably won't do any good to contact the State Senator or State Representative for the area he worked in. If they are Democrat then you might have a chance.
