Who else is embarrassed by Rep. King?
I fired off an angry letter after reading his asinine comments about the torture and rapes in Iraq as being little more than "hazing", and got caught up in "not a member of his district" e-mail limbo.

Anyone here in the 5th Congressional District?

1. Sorry - I'm in Leach's district.
Yes, I'm embarrassed. What an idiot.

2. When these turkey asses vote on a piece of legislation,
Edited on Sat May-15-04 11:37 PM by LibDemAlways
their votes affect everyone in the country. Yet they act like they are accountable only to people in their "districts" - which - considering how mobile the populice is, changes every day. Repukes, of course, are ultimately accountable to no one but Rove. They serve only to do the chimp's bidding - public be damned.

3. Hear, hear!
It's even WORSE when they open their holes and shit out their mouths. These jackasses are supposed to 'represent' us.

I can't think of when I've been so disgusted with a local elected official. Makes me nostalgic for Branstead.

5. First district here
And a life long Iowan. It saddens me that anyone, especially an Iowan, could take this stance. Pretty sure Leach doesn't take a stance like that, not too sure about our Rep., Nussle. He toes the party line quite well, or badly, however one wants to look at it.

6. Yep, I'm embarassed...
... but in the 4th Congressional District.

This guy is a slimeball - it's embarassing that anyone from Iowa would even vote for this guy.

Of course, he's also from the 'red state' part of Iowa - the folks that like the Nebraska Cornhuskers. :puke:

7. I certainly didn't vote for him.
And the red part of Iowa is not all red. Though I sometimes feel quite lonely over here.

But, today's mini-editorial in the Sioux City Journal is:

In the Saturday Journal, Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, called the abuse of Iraqi prisoners little more than "hazing." This begs the question: If this is hazing, what kind of college did Mr. King attend?

8. I think he's a fool
I used to live in NW Iowa, isn't that the area this fool represents?
NW Iowa is a horribly backward place, for the most part.

I don't live there anymore, but I sent him a letter telling him what a moron he is.

9. can you believe he wins
being elected on platforms like "making english the offical language of the USA?" He says stuff like this and gets nearly 70% of the vote.

10. Yeah, I got the same response.
I can see Nussle thinking it, but I don't think he is dumb enough to say it.

11. Nussle is a useless piece of crap
He's done about one thing right, and that was under pressure. He got a guy citizenship who deserved it, based on political asylum. The guy's (white) wife asked for help and Nussle delivered. I live here in the first district, and refused to vote for Nussle last time, and will not vote for him this year either. Did you know that he wants school funding to be tied in with prayer in schools? What a piece of crap! Gluba in '04!

12. I remember when Nussle ran the 1st time
All about being Mr. family values and what a great dad he is since he has a disabled child, then wound up getting a divorce. Would love to know what happened there.

13. I did the same
and got the same bogus email. That shows you what an ass he is if he won't take any from outside his district. I can't believe he comes from Iowa, what a loser!

I'm ashamed of Steve King and I agree with suegeo. Northwest Iowa is a horribly backward place indeed.
