Amber Alert - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

An Amber Alert has been issued for a Cedar Rapids girl. Officials say the girl, 10-year-old Jetseta Gage, was taken from 448 Jacolyn Drive NW around 8:15 last night by 37-year-old Roger Paul Bentley. Police are looking for a black/silver 1982 Datsun King Cab Pickup Truck, with a silver topper, with Iowa license 392 MIZ.

There are over 1000 sex offenders listed in the surrounding areas in the Lynn / Johnson / Black Hawk County region. While you cannot confront any on the list, you can make yourself aware of who they are and where they live.

I have done that in my grandchildrens' neighborhood.

The site is slow tonight, I would expect a lot of traffic.

After the murder in Florida. I live fairly close to Oakdale prison, so the list of sex offenders in my area is pretty extensive. At least most of them are locked up.
I wish everybody would check for offenders in their neighborhood, especially if they have children.

I know it may be morally wrong but sometimes I wish that the parents of these youngsters being kidnapped and raped would be able to take a shot at exacting revenge. As a father of three, I always said that if anyone ever messed with my kids in that fashion, they better pray that the cops get them before I do, because there is a liklihood that I would do terrible damage to the bastards. It appears that a sex offender who has a house next to mine may be getting out early. If he even looks like he's going to try anything with the neighborhood kids, he's in big trouble around here. Even the homosexual couple down the street say that. Sorry, just venting. Lock this animal up and lose the key. The hell with this guy.
