Who is paying for the Negative Ads on Culver?
From Bleeding Heartland...

The Iowa Future Fund is running ads that are lying about Chet Culver's record. The group has apparently incorporated itself as a 501c4, so it can refuse to disclose its donors. Basically, they are claiming that their intent is not to influence elections, despite the fact that all they have ever done is try to smear the big lug.

The organization's spokesperson is David Kochel, who claims he is the only person who will speak for the Future Fund ever. Give him a call at 515-865-6077 to let him know how you feel about his organization, or email him at david@jdkmpa.com to demand that the group disclose its donors. Let us know what kind of response you get.

2. Not so bad
I find it funny - other than the bad pics of Chet, the message is really not too bad. Yeah, the music is scary and all ... but they basically say that he is spending more money and wooing business to the state. When people consider that the money is being used on teacher pay, the environment, children's health care, and infrastructure it is not necessarily bad. I would think the bipartisan nature of the Microsoft incentives would give him cover.

It was amazing to hear Stewie Iverson (new chair of RPI) on Insiders on who-tv this morning complaining that Chet was so bad that businesses were fleeing the state and then criticizing him for spending money to woo big, profitable microsoft to Iowa. Stewie, you cannot have it both ways!
