Your comments re the 2008 State Convention
One of the casualties of this convention was the loss of Richard Mahachek (spelling?) as our DNC delegate. Richard was a victim of the 19 hour marathon that included great "from the floor entertainment" to fill the void between votes, but didn't allow time for delegates to introduce themselves, their accomplishments, and their desire to fill a position. Same problem as District conventions. Needs to be corrected before next caucus.

3. Looks like Deeth live-blogged most of the convention but didn't post the new male DNC member's name
Happy to see Sandy Opstvedt re-elected as well :7

4. Leroy
I believe that is the name that was announced(no last name used in this late announcement). This was about 12:30AM when someone asked for results. By that time of the night (morning), I just filled in the little bubbles and raised my hand. I need to be honest, I just voted for Richard M on each ballot and didn't even know the names of the competition. Can anyone help?

tks Debie, good to see you and Mr. Debi too.

As a side note, I was elected Vice Chair of the State Democratic Disability Caucus. I believe we need representation in at least all of the CD's so may be reporting more as I gain more info.

6. Was it a Love Fest then?
We couldn't make it. I am sure people came out of it motivated but that Culver received polite applause only.
