Anyone else get these calls

Sunday afternoon I got a call - a recording claiming to be from DuTrac Community Credit Union in Dubuque. The recording went on to claim that my DuTrac Mastercard had been compromised. I thought something was fishy because I don't have any accounts at DuTrac and it was a four digit number showing on my cell phone rather than a normal 10 digit one.

Turns out I was right. A lot of people got these calls and both the police and DuTrac announced it was a fake.

never ceases to amaze me the ingenuity and amount of work that is put into scams. Just think if some of that effort was put into real work.
