File this one under stupid criminals

One William J. Reese - a civilian jailer with the Benton County Sheriff's Department - was operating a Benton County Sheriff vehicle when he decided to pull over another vehicle. Three problems with that. First he didn't have the authority to do so, and secondly the guy in the other vehicle was a deputy sheriff. Third, the entire incident, including him yelling at the deputy, was all caught on the cruiser's built in video camera.

I'd file that one in the stupid criminal category.

2. Bizarre.

Seems like they may have know each other. Wonder what the investigation will turn up for his motive.

Also, gotta wonder why the actual officer decided to drive through school zones with dismissing children. That seems to have been in poor judgment. Luckily the whole thing avoided a potential disaster.

Looks like Mr Reese will see the other side of the bars for a while.
