Help me out here
Where in this part of the Iowa Code does it say that "unless school board policies override it" when it comes to strip searches of students?

808A.2 SEARCHES OF STUDENTS, PROTECTED STUDENT AREAS, LOCKERS, DESKS, AND OTHER FACILITIES OR SPACES.
4. A school official shall not conduct a search which involves:
a. A strip search.
b. A body cavity search.
c. The use of a drug sniffing animal to search a student's body.
d. The search of a student by a school official not of the same sex as the student.

Yeah, I couldn't find it either.

I think what we should all do is to write the governor and our legislative critters and demand that this law be expanded to;
A. State that no school board policy can conflict with this part of the law.
B. Each and every school employee is required to comply with this law and to report any violations of the law to proper authorities.
C. Anyone who violates that section by ordering a strip search be performed, carries out such a search, or fails to report that such a search happened is guilty of a felony, punishable by 25 years to life imprisonment, a requirement to register as a sex offender for the rest of their lives, and heavy fines and forfeitures.
D. The school district shall be required to pay for any and all counseling and all other health care expenses incurred as a result of the search, the entire college education expenses of the student, and other expenses that a court of law may deem proper.

That may sound extreme, but it's past time, and it's the only way these idiots will understand that Iowa law has a purpose and they will be held to account for their misdeeds.

1. Yep, They are on thin ice and they know it
Especially after the SCOTUS decision in the case arising out of Arizona last year essentially said strip searching is a no-no.
Atlantic better get ready to fork over one shitload of money on this one.
