:bounce: I really enjoy this forum and all the people who post on it. Too bad we all enjoy our own counties so much that we can't seem to get together for an Iowa DU Meet Up. Let's pledge right now that, come state convention time we'll find a way to get together? Deal? :bounce:
We've passed Indiana and Missouri among others. We are closing in on Michigan. All states with much bigger populations. Tells me that we got some folks who will be bustin' their butts to elect good Dems this round. I think a year ago after the election we were @2500 posts. Not sure if that is right, but we've been posting a bunch. Not the least of which is Debi, who lets very little get by her. Let me take my hat off to Debi and the other Iowa irregulars. Let's get some folks elected.
I don't know if it's a good thing that I post so much or not...just means I have too much time on my hands!
This will be a good cycle for Democrats if we all keep at it - taking our support away from our keyboards and out in the streets come caucus, convention and primary time!
Debi has done lots for keeping me in the Iowa forum. All of you have. Nothing like a good conversation with experienced locals to help keep my head in the game!
It's because of the quality of debate we have here. We are not all supporting the same candidates in races (we're not even in the same districts) but we do support Democrats. We are able to actively discuss our positions with very few yelling matches and no name calling (yet, the primary is six months away).
We are pros at civil discourse....at least I think we are. That and none of us post when we're drunk...except Seth... :toast:
