What's up, Chuck?
In Wednesday's Gazette, there was an article about the tax cut (for the rich) and extension bill (for the even richer) -- although the turkeybutts didn't print my letter to the editor... anywho... the article shows an interesting glimpse into Chuck Grassley vs. Bill Thomas (California, R, Head of the House Ways and Means). Many know the two have stood at odds previously, especially when dealing with the budget. Still, the report states Grassley was at the press conference looking "at his shoes in a downcast expression." A few paragraphs later, while discussing the negotiations between Grassley and Thomas, it reads:
President Bush, with abysmal poll ratings and looking for a political lift, intervened. Bush wanted agreement on the first tax bill and invited Grassley and Thomas to the White House in hopes of an announcement. Grassley declined the invitation.

1. As a fellow Iowan, I would like to say....
Fuck Chuck. Although it is interesting that Chuck, who is retiring after this term, is avoiding Bush. The man must be truly radioactive.

Everyone, please practice saying these words: "Senator Vilsack".

Sounds good, doesn't it?

3. 100x better than President Vilsack
Now ask Tom to save Iowa's First in the Nation status that he's sabotaged in trying to become President :eyes:
