Here are some pics of the Edwards rally in Lawrence, KS.

The crowd stretched for 3 blocks behind the tall building.

2. Thanks for the pictures.
We got inside and had no idea how many people were outside. We could hear you roar when he came outside though and you were impressive! By the time they let us out of the building it was clear so we were stunned when we saw the photos.

7. It looks like thousands and thousands
Local media said like 2,000 and 4,000. I got confused because some were inside and some were outside.

But it looks like more in those photos.

Anyway, it will take an earthquake to turn KS blue in '04. Remember, Lawrence has been a 'hotbed' of liberalism since the Civil War.

I'm a little stoked too, looking at those photos. Thanks for posting them. It really says a lot that Sen. Edwards came back for that rally.

11. It warms my heart to see Dems in Kansas!
I attended the Kerry/Edwards rally at Union Station, and was very pleased to see how huge the crowd was. I blew it by not bringing a camera. It turned out that we were front and center, with a great view. My one regret is that we were too far in front to see the freeper doofus in the waffle costume who was making a fool of himself. ;)

was obnoxious! He was deliberately scaring little kids. So be glad you missed seeing him.

Someone put a Kerry sticker on him - that was pretty funny.
