Funny thing about this idiot. He is working with the transgendered population on their rights. I have not figured that one out yet.

It's an election year!!

The reason we have a Democratic governor is because the fundie RW candidate beat out the moderate Republican. The moderates jumped ship and voted for Sebelius.

As for Kline, he beat out the moderate Republican in the primary (name escapes me right now). Chris Biggs our Democratic AG candidate the last time around was a full-time prosecutor and didn't have a lot of time to campaign. In addition, Kline had run for office and won before. Kline had larger coffers than Biggs and name recognition. So, the moderates went for Sebelius in the governor's race because she went out and campaigned. They didn't defect for Biggs because they didn't know him. I know from the past couple of races that I've been involved with that going out and campaigning has a big effect. At every election watch party I've gone to there are people who show up because the met the candidate. That was it. They met the candidate and liked them. Finally, there was a recount of the election because it was actually a close one despite the fact that Biggs didn't campaign very much. It was a close one.
