2. Didn't mention it in the paper
but I will check it out asap (KU is playing MU right now, no one on campus is answering phones) and let you know. Depending on how many people are interested in attending the lecture we might think about having a little meetup beforehand.

Gilmore? Comer? atommom? Muse? evl? putout? Whattya say?

3. Is that a Tuesday?
I can go if I don't have to work late. Damn job interferes with my social life.

5. That tiny misshapen stub is my social life.
I take it out once a month, ready or not.

I'm so happy I met you. You're one of my favorite people. Thanks for coming out to Rex's. I hope you, proud, Comer and Gilmore had fun. I did.

7. Aw, shucks.
I had a great time. Everyone I met was great. Well, there was that odd guy who was home from Spain that attached himself to me. And the dangerous teenagers. Otherwise, thanks for inviting us.

10. You seemed to be enjoying yourself
with that Spanish guy. You two were unseparable for quite a while. What's even weirder is that he is staying with my cousin. Why do you keep stalking my family? It was bad enough when you were just pestering me, now you've ingratiated yourself to other members of my family. For some odd reason, everyone seems to like you too.

At least the kids finally ran out of things to blow up in the bonfire. Apparently a car of these kids got stoppped on the way back to town. Fortunately no one was arrested. Believe it or not, one of the kids was sober and the designated driver for the evening. Rex was a little upset but then realized the traffic stops had nothing to do with his party but was related to the KU-MU game that happened earlier Saturday.

Were the kids blowing things up before the Christmas tree was thrown on the fire or did the tree burning get them going? I don't know. My first order of business that night was to round up the Party Committee and get a meeting started.

Oh yeah, there are a number of us from the party that are looking forward to making it to your place in a few weeks. Don't forget the next Hollow gathering is April 29th. Same rules as this past weekend. Hopefully the Goth Kids will have their own party (very far away) that evening.

12. It's my mission to infiltrate your family.
Why, I don't know.

The kids were blowing suff up all night long. Damn kids!

I hope the St. Pat's gathering isn't a letdown. I intend to have fun no matter what the rest of you do.

13. I guess we'll let you
Why? I don't know either. I have fun around you and I'm not the only one.

I think St. Pat's will be just as fun, if not more, than this past weekend. I think the most important differences (for me) are that we won't be freezing our collective asses off watching kids blow things up or my cousin-in-law burning ex-Christmas trees. I intend to have fun too.

23. We had a small "family" meeting tonight
You're in. You're one of us. We've adopted you like we've adopted Rex. You're not a "pet" like Rex, instead, you've been given full relative status - for better or worse.

Welcome to the family. The only thing you have to do is be yourself, hang out with us from time to time and drink mega quantities of beer with us.

You can, of course, refuse this minor honor (:eyes:) and still come out to the Hollow. :loveya:

But they can be a little creepy, too, what with their pots o'gold and tricks and cereal and stuff.
I think living alone is starting to get to me.

22. Sent you the directions
and, it should go without saying, feel free to drop by anytime. We just had another unexpected houseful of people tonight, so we don't mind drop-ins. We had a few friends drop by this evening to watch the basketball game with us. Plus, one of my brothers is staying with us right now and I'm expecting a couple of more this weekend. We're pretty hospitable most of the time.

You know us old hippies, feel free to drop by anytime. :loveya:
