Remember when seasons lasted months rather than days?
Last week I broke out my shorts and sandals and spent the day weeding the garden. The next day I planted my tomato, potato and pepper plants. According to the radio the temperature had topped 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I noted that many of the trees surrounding the yard were still in the budding stage.

Last night I got out my winter coat and hat to take the dogs for their late evening walk. It was cold and damp. Shortly after we got back from the walk the heater kicked on. Before I climbed into bed I grabbed an extra wool blanket to help stay warm through the night.

We called off the house scraping today (like evl, we're painting our house) because it is too cold and windy to climb around on ladders.

I don't know about you guys but I liked it better when seasons lasted a few months rather than a couple of days. This weather is so screwed up.

1. Relax.
Apparently April is here for a few days. Some rain will keep you guys off of the ladders. Until summer comes back for a days. Or winter. I forget.

2. LOL. We're in monsoon season now
but on the upside we're getting ready to head out with the other knucklehead hippies to a bonfire party. Oh well, we're worse than the postal service. Weather will not keep us from having a good time.

3. No Rain In Wichita on National Door-to-Door Day
Although it threatened to rain all day, in Wichita we were able to get out and knock on Demo doors this afternoon. Had a very good turn-out of volunteers. How did it go up in NE Kansas?

5. well.
Resulted varied...

It poured in Lawrence and Topeka and turnout was quite depressed, only about 50. More than 60 made it out in KC and JoCo though

7. I love it
I left KC on the 26th of April.
I went to a mountain-top in Northern Pennsylvania and a beer festival at Hunter Mountain, New York.
The weather was spectacular for the whole 8 days I was there.
Mid 60's daytime, mid 30's at night.
I saw 12 shooting stars in three nights.

I guess it rained in Kansas City for the most part.

When I got off the plane last Wednesday it was 56 degrees.
I love it.

I ain't looking forward to no 99 degree days.
