Candidate Profiles Who Have Switched to the Democratic Party

There is an interesting article in the KC Star today by Steve Traske which profiles several Kansas legislative candidates who have switched from the Republican to the Democratic Party. See http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/149911794.htm - one of the profiled candidates - Steve Lukert from Sabetha, explained his new status as a Democrat to have been prompted by the realization that "the far right tends to have a no-way-or-the-highway type of mentality. They'd rather have nothing than to have to give in at all. That's just not my mentality." Sounds to me like he made the right decision.
