1. I'd really hate to see her become governor...
but if she did, I think it would definitely help secure Yarmuth in his position for MANY years to come. It is way too early to say what 2008 will be like (voters don't know for sure yet if they made the right choice in choosing Yarmuth, I think he'll prove to be good for Louisville but the right-wing will spin it however they want), but I have a feeling Northup is going to want to try to get her seat back in 2008 if she isn't doing anything else. Not that she would be a better candidate than Yarmuth (because we know what she is like), but a majority of voters in Louisville (including some people that have the audacity to call themselves Democrats, like, oh, Jerry Abramson...) have been dumb enough to fall for her in 5 other elections, and they could accidentally do it again...

5. Yep Anne is running for Governor
Edited on Thu Jan-18-07 02:58 AM by Daylin Byak
This came from politics1.com,

Former Congresswoman Anne Northup on Wednesday announced her GOP primary challenge to Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher. Northup was defeated for re-election last year in an upset. Fletcher is viewed as highly vulnerable in both the primary and general elections in the aftermath of a series of damaging ethical scandals. Lieutenant Governor Steve Pence (R) had promised to not enter the gubernatorial race if Northup jumped in. Instead, Pence is reportedly looking at the Attorney General contest. On the Democratic side, State Treasurer Jonathan Miller, former Lieutenant Governors Steve Henry and Steve Beshear, and three minor hopefuls have already announced candidacies. State House Speaker Jody Richards (D) and Attorney General Greg Stumbo (D) are both still looking at the race ...

For anyone who wants to visit her website it's www.northup-hoover2007.com and she has picked State House Minority Leader Jeff Hoover to be her runningmate.

This race has offically got intresting

11. Here's hoping
She gets defeated. If she is the Rep nominee, I hope who ever is the democratic nominee will remind voters of her policies that she's supported while in congress. I voted for Yarmouth and I was so surprised that John won. I celebrated that night. Here's hoping we can defeat her again.
