Rand Paul is batshit ignorant
First he says he does not believe federal agencies, EPA, should set water standards, then he asks aren't there any municipal standards? Yes, Rand there are standards set by the federal govt. and enforced locally. The 1990 census revealed that over 50% of Eastern KY is not happy with their water. 30% of the homes in Eastern Ky do not have potable water. He is not knowledgeable enough about the state to be dogcatcher. I hope the cheap DNC will spend some money, effort, & time in KY. All, 2 Dems & 2 Repugs are sucking up to King Coal. Conway still my choice. For article on this and the race: http://www.kentucky.com/2010/03/15/1182056/us-senate-candidates-fighting.html

I would vote for any Democrat that wins the primary though. Rand Paul is bizarre. He would have people in Eastern Kentucky drinking coal sludge and not give a damn, he would say it was simply "preserving freedom" to poison people. Those so-called "libertarians" aren't libertarians at all, they are really just guys that are for liberty for white, Christian, males. If they were true libertarians they wouldn't have a problem with a woman's right to choose, but boy they can't tolerate that! Guys like Rand's dad, Ron Paul, come way to close to the whole nutty militia movement and conspiracy theory movement. They guy that started the "promise keepers" militia movement that tries to woo active duty service people into promising to disobey their orders if the movement tells them to, was a "former" assistant to Ron Paul. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree IMO. These guys are just plain nuts, or worse, treasonous.

But it does get worse than Rand Paul. Trey Grayson strikes me as just that guy. I'll admit, I don't know a damn thing about Grayson but I do know that Dick Cheney came to KY to stump for him and Grayson is also McConnell's pick. That alone told me everything I needed to know as to which one of the two is probably worse.
