Conference on Homosexuality to Present Truth About Change in Louisville
Focus on the Family event to feature former homosexuals sharing a "message of hope"
http://www.southeastchristian.org/emplibrary/com_33005_LoveWonOut.pdf

Bigotry coming in person to Six Flags Over Jesus on April 16.

Colorado Springs, Colo. –– Focus on the Family will bring its Love Won Out conference to Louisville on April 16, to
counter the media-saturating message that homosexuality is inborn and unchangeable. The one-day event is designed to
educate and equip attendees on the issues surrounding homosexuality and provide hope for those struggling – and those
whose loved ones struggle – with unwanted same-sex attractions.

"We are here to offer a perspective that is rarely heard anywhere else: There is a way out of the homosexual life for those
who wish to take it," said Melissa Fryrear, a Louisville native, conference speaker and former lesbian. "Although the
issues of homosexuality and same-sex marriage are becoming increasingly politicized in our culture, Love Won Out’s
message continues to focus on the hope and love that is found in Jesus Christ."

The conference is led primarily by men and women who have left homosexuality themselves. "I am living proof that
change can happen," said Mike Haley, a former homosexual and Love Won Out conference host, who recently authored
the book 101 Frequently Asked Questions About Homosexuality. "Thousands of men and women know firsthand that
there is a way out of unwanted homosexuality."

"The continued propagation of 'homosexuality is innate and normal' rhetoric by pro-gay activists and the mainstream
media shows the critical need for accurate and honest information on these subjects," Haley continued. "Tolerance and
acceptance – causes often championed by the gay community – necessitate allowing those who wish to leave
homosexuality to do so."

2. fine - in case they forgot
WE don't have a problem with sleeping with whomever you want to provided it's adult and consensual.

We certainly don't have a problem with doing what it takes to be happy. If some people want to claim that they used to be gay and are happier living a straight life style - wonderful for them. I am genuinely happy for them.

However their light is not my light, and no bizarre idea that discriminating against me in my daily life is going to make me desire to be straight has any intersection with reality.

The Consoviets'll probably be moving towards forced reprogramming, if this nonsense takes off.

7. Keep looking for Al Mohler's name to pop up,
but then I noticed it was going on down at Southeast Christian Church. Doesn't matter, though. I'm sure Al and the gang up on Lexington Road will be there to lend their support.

(I have a Master's degree from SBTS, from back in day when Roy Honeycutt was president and when thinking for yourself and challenging the accepted norms was not only allowed by encouraged! My how things have changed.)

9. "I've been struggling with heterosexual attraction my whole life..."
I'm thinking of going on a bestiality retreat so I can shed these awful feelings and 'commune' with nature.

11. Gee, I wonder if John Paulk will be there?
He's the "ex-gay" poster boy from Dobson's Fucking Up Families ... oops! I mean "Focus on the Family," of course! ... who was featured on the cover of Newsweek several years ago with his ex-lesbian (and Ann Coulter look-alike except for a less prominent Adam's apple) wife. Later that same year he was photographed in a Washington, D.C., gay bar. First he claimed he only stopped in to use the little queens' room. Then when it was reported he was in the bar striking up conversations with several men for an hour, he claimed he was only doing "research" to see if the bar scene had changed much since his days as a much less than Jeffie-pooh Gannon's $200-an-hour male prostitute.

Poor Johnnie caused Big Daddy Dobson lots of embarassment over that. Dobson probably had to don his leather corset and get all hot and sweaty applying the leather ping-pong paddle to Johnnie's naked and pasty backside over that little incident!:spank:
