Out of gas? WTF?
Stopped at the Kroger on westport rd and they had signs posted they had only premium. Is this just an anomaly or is any one else around here seeing this?
thanks,
mark

1. Gosh, they only have the MOST EXPENSIVE gas left?
What a coincidence. There is NO gas shortage in the United States.

2. No Gas shortage.. but....
If there was a rush on gas because people were afraid the gas prices would go up.. then the gas station might run out of gas before they were expecting a gas delevery.

If the station was expecting a "gas run", they would have pre-ordered gas to be delevered.

Gas doesn't just appear at the gas pumps. It must be delievered.

On the other hand......

3. Next thing you know, we'll have to start locking our gas caps
Yikes. I'm re-living the 70's gas crisis.

Like Yogi Berra said, "It's deja-vu all over again."

4. Odd-Even Days, mile long lines
Pissed off people, crooks PUNCTURING gas tanks and using a bucket to collect the gas under the cars with locking caps, people awaking to find that the locking round or square door that covers their gas cap has been pried off...

Oi, such fun...not.

6. HA!!!! Remember Ron Popeil's device???
It sold for something like ten or twelve bucks (a real sum in those days) and it looked like a giant hypodermic needle made of plastic with a flexible "needle" part on it. The commercial ran constantly, it seemed. You stuck it in your 'odd' tank so you could gas up your 'even' car.

In actual fact, I'm sure that a lot of folks who bought those things were swiping gas, but that was not the stated purpose of the item!

7. Ronco has some great stuff
I've always wanted a pocket fisherman, you never know when the mood might strike ya to go fishing,

But I really might buy his knive set, I think I've watched that damn infomercial too many times.

Not bad for 40 bucks.

8. It's happening all over the Southeast...no reason for it...NONE!
This is BULLSHIT!

Our economy should not be so frail that a couple days of shutting down the port of New Orleans results in gas outages and panic and incredibly high gas prices.

I smell collusion and conspiracy.
