Poll question: Can we carry LA?
Can we count on having LA be a blue state in 2004? Do we even have a shot? I think it's the only southern state (other than FL) we really have a good chance in. But I'm in WA, what the hell do I know.

4. I thought he only got it once?
hmmm...I hope Kerry gets it. I don't think having Landriu on the ticket will help, but Breaux might

2. Other: Possible, but most likely will go to Bush...
Although, Kerry seems to have a particular interest in our state for some reason.

Bush has done nothing but crap on Louisiana. He even denied federal disaster recognition for Tropical Storm Bob, when it devastated my generally Republican Parish. This decision alone cost my town over $100,000 for a brand new pier washed away that was built only a few months before the storm. We won't even talk about the 100 trees that came down in my town alone, who knows what happened in surrounding areas. What is the point of having a GOP governor if he can't get Chimpy on the phone -- I think Tropical Storm Bob alone probably kept some St. Tammany GOP voters home in the governor's race after Mike Foster failed to get any action on this matter. Bush is bad for small town budgets, bad for state budgets, bad for parish budgets. How is the GOP going to get people excited about him? I think a lot of them will stay home and if we just get the vote out, we have a very good shot.

5. tricky one
Tricky one, because Kerry will probably win a lot of southern Louisiana, as well as New Orleans. Bush will win some of the suburbs of New Orleans, and most of north Louisiana.

Recently though, LA has gone blue right at hte end in a lot of local elections. I think that Kerry has a chance, but in my opinoin, it's too close to call. TUrnout will probably be very low, however. We just elected a democratic governor, but she's not very popular at hte moment.
