Joe Lavigne

Does anyone know who Joe Lagivne is and what he is running for. He is up from Louisiana and having a fundraiser at one of my favorite bars in DC, the Irish Times.

Republican Lawyer to run Against Jefferson
Congressman William Jefferson has a potential rival in his quest to be reelected to the 2nd Congressional District as Joe Lavigne, an attorney with Jones Walker in New Orleans, has officially opened an exploratory committee. The committee is not only a clear sign of his intent to run for the seat, but also an important vehicle to raise money. Lavigne has had several meetings with key political players in Washington DC as well as in the congressional district.
