Who are you supporting for NO Mayor
I was discussing this with my parents this evening.

Personally I've given up on Nagin. I thought he had potential at one point but it now just seems like he can't handle the job anymore. Plus whether he was an actual democrat or not has been somewhat questionable in my mind from the beginning.

Forman has switched party affiliation twice which also makes me question whether he is an actual democrat. Peggy Wilson... no comment.

Basically this leaves me to believe that I'll be supporting Mitch Landrieu. If anything his stepping down as Lieutenant Governor shows that he seems genuinely committed to the city and not just to his own political future. Personally I wish that he would hold out for Governor, but clearly he has made up his mind.

How does everyone else feel?

1. So far, Mitch Landrieu looks good to me.
I like him personally and he seems to really care about New Orleans.

2. I don't get to vote yet
but I'd probably lean toward Mitch. My very first political activity in 1969 was as a kid lit dropping and serving cokes at events for Moon.

Forman has gone over to the Dark Side (aka Audubon Place) in my opinion. (See my own mayoral declaration here and you can deduce my views on Forman in my remarks about Audubon Park).

3. I don't know all the candidates
But I like Mitch. Back in 2002, I stood with him on the corner of Harrison and Canal St. campaigning for Mary Landrieu. He seems like a good guy.
