you of all people haven't heard of the "GYM DANDIES" .this is a group of children
who are billed as the "greatest kid show on earth" . don't quote me as exact but I think they are in their 26th year.
there is usually statewide coverage of their performances several times a year on
tv channels 6 and its sister sta. in bangor.
I believe they start in 3rd grade thru 12th grade.Its a community thing from Scarborough and well known by most mainers.
they have performed in several large parades such as the Independence parade and
several others.(i forget there is so many kudos in there bag)
by the way two of my grandsons performed last nite;and we're very proud of them and all the other kids,they were terrific!!!
I believe they advertised the event in the entertainment section of yesterdays
portland press hearld

I've lived here for eight, almost nine years during which time I've watched about ten minutes of television news at home. The only time I'm forced to watch Faux is when I'm in the Dunkin'Donuts on Union Street. :hi:
