state land and public use

I caught part of a program this morning about using wilderness public lands. the subject was multi-use!
Seems several groups want to limit it to others. example skiers,hikers,nature lovers,hunters,snowmobilers and atv users.
the very fact that we have wilderness lands is a plus; seems like we should be able to
come to some agreement that all can live with.
I certainly hope so as I have enjoyed all the above in my life time.
