2. I told that to my son the other day...
We were out Sunday afternoon shovelling the 7 inches of snow we had gotten...I told him it was still fall...He got REALLY angry!!! It was QUITE funny!!!

I have to admit, we've been pretty lucky the past couple of years not getting this weather until January...I guess we were due...

4. I went back country (x-country) skiing last Saturday and it was a hoot
More than a foot of powder - in December(!!!1111) - one of the best days skiing in a long time.

One thing I did notice was the distinct lack of snowmobile tracks. Usually, if there is that much snow the sleds are all over.

Not so this year - are high gas and oil prices keeping people off the trails????

5. plenty of snow

lots of snow and the snowmobiles are running hard in my area; the crust will slow down the rabbit hunters but fresh snow hopefully will make it good running!
you all get a hot chocolate and enjoy the fresh snow tonite!
