oil and election in 2008

ONE OF THE BIGGEST FACTORS YET TO BE BROUGHT TO THE FORE-FRONT IN THE 2008 ELECTIONS WILL BE THE GRIP OIL COMPANIES HAVE ON OUR ECONOMY.
HERE IS JUST A FEW ITEMS FOR FODDER.
go to google type in new oil refineries built in last 10 years.
you will find that none have been built in the usa for 29-30 years. you will find out that production is down from last year, one of the reasons prices are up.
a few highlights I FOUND:
GRISTMILL: THE ENVIRONMENTAL NEWS BLOG.
SUBJECT:TIME TO DUST OFF THE ANTI-TRUST LAWS
The intergrated oil extraction, refining, and distribution industry has just gone on record
saying that they have sufficient monopoly power to significantly manipulate prices by making decisions that will reduce the supply of gasoline in the u.s. even the ultra right, business -can-do-n0-wrong HERITAGE FOUNDATION says so. in fact they just said so last month
as part of their argument against windfall profits.
It will amaze you to see how many people will respond to this information if made aware of it.
I'm not about to print all 8 pages or of the several different resources I have found
to support this article but I will suggest you use goggle and come to your own conclusion.
I think some non-profit groups are well funded by groups who try to increase the bottom line-probably unfairly.
