Last call for caucus absentees

Time is running out if you want to vote absentee in this year's Maine Democratic Caucus. Democrats may still request absentee ballots from State Party headquarters over the phone, by fax or even e-mail. The ballots must be returned to the Maine Democratic Party office by 5 p.m. on February 6.

Many people don't realize that they may participate in the Maine Democratic Caucus even if they are unable to attend the actual caucus for whatever reason. This flexibility is intended to make it easier for students, seniors, shift-workers, working mothers and others who find the caucus times inconvenient to participate.

Independents and unregistered voters who wish to participate are also still eligible to register as Democrats any time prior to the Caucus or at the Caucus on February 10th.
